One Degree East, Chanakyapuri, Delhi

Moving towards creating the restaurants’s identity and embracing the original architecture of the space, ‘One Degree East’ focuses on green walls for the facade and integrating more ornamental elements into the interior design as an antidote to machine fabrication.

The only oriental restaurant at Delhi’s high end Santushti Shopping Complex in Chanakyapuri will be a treat both in terms of it's cuisine as well as it's aesthetics. The restaurant has been divided into the following zones - booth seating for young couples and small families, banquette seating for the cousins & friends and a community table for the kitty party ladies! This is supplemented by a bar with a Sushi display with an exclusively designed Sudoku Wall bar back. The proportions of the Wall display take inspiration from the Sudoku Puzzle.

The furniture design draws inspiration from the minimal Japanese interiors. This is witnessed through light skeletal lights, booth seating and a monochrome base palette. To add an element of playfulness, bold pinks were added to the metal bulkhead over the bar as well as the chairs.
