Located at East of Kailash in New Delhi, Barshaala is an upbeat version of Dilli's desi Theka! 

It is also India's fastest growing chain of "friendly neighborhood drinking resto-bars.

 

The design brief focussed on playful, interactive yet budget friendly interiors. Moodboards reflected an easy hang out place where one could sit with friends and family for hours. The place flaunts it's desi character with fun Indian kitschy graphics.

The restaurant has two levels accomodating a total of 58 covers. The ambience and seating was designed keeping a younger audience in mind. The space features most of the seating on the upper floor along with the kitchen while the ground floor caters to the bar and some booth seating. 

 

While the lighting was kept simple using locally sourced Cane lights on the upper floor, the ground floor incorporated cutom made lights. The wall decor is flexible withpanels accomodating change over time. Wooden floor adds the warmth to this quirky place!
